Huawei Mate 8 has a global score of 77.4, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro's global score of 75.8. Huawei Mate 8's construction is a bit thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, but it's just a little heavier and was released many years before. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a bit sharper display than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have a same size display, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro also has a little more pixels per inch of screen and a little bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2160px.
The Huawei Mate 8 has a little bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.
