Motorola Moto G9 Play is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, with a global score of 76.7 against 75.8. Both phones in this review work with Android operating system, but the Motorola Moto G9 Play has an older 10 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Motorola Moto G9 Play's body is noticeably newer, but a little bit heavier and thicker than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.
The Motorola Moto G9 Play features a bit more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have 8 cores. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a sharper screen than Moto G9 Play, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater display pixels density and a lot higher 1080 x 2160 resolution.
The Moto G9 Play has a quite bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Moto G9 Play also has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Motorola Moto G9 Play counts with longer battery life than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a 5000mAh battery size against 4000mAh.
Moto G9 Play shoots way better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video resolution, the Moto G9 Play also has better video frame rates, a much more mega-pixels camera in the back and a much larger aperture to capture better low-light photos and video.
