Galaxy A9 (2018) has a global score of 85.2, which is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro's global score of 75.8. Although the Galaxy A9 (2018) and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro were released only a few months apart, the Galaxy A9 (2018) design is just a little bit heavier but a little thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) features a little better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. Both have a 6 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core processing unit. Galaxy A9 (2018) and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro count with very similar screens, because although the Galaxy A9 (2018) has a little worse screen density, it also counts with a little higher 1080 x 2220 resolution and a quite bigger screen.

The Galaxy A9 (2018) has a lot bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has 128 GB internal storage and an external memory card slot that admits up to 512 GB. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) captures better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, a way higher resolution back facing camera and a much larger camera aperture to take better low light images.
