Comparison review
The Galaxy Alpha is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, with a 76.3 score against 75.8. Both of these phones come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Alpha has the previous 4.4.4 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Galaxy Alpha is a notably lighter and somewhat thinner cellphone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.
The Galaxy Alpha counts with a little bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has a lower amount of RAM and 4 lesser CPU cores (although faster), it also counts with an additional graphics processor. Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it has a lot lower 1280 x 720 resolution, a much smaller screen and a bit less pixels per inch in the display.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a much better memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 32 GB more internal storage capacity and a SD extension slot that holds up to 128 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a really longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 1860mAh.
Galaxy Alpha takes slightly better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have a back camera with a 12 mega pixels and a F2.2 camera aperture, the Galaxy Alpha also has a lot higher 3840x2160 video quality.
