The Galaxy M21 is a way newer phone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it is a bit thicker and a bit heavier. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy M21 has an older 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo.
Galaxy M21 counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy M21 has a bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a bit larger display, a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 and a just a little better display density.
Samsung Galaxy M21 captures much clearer photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a larger camera aperture to take better low light photography and video, a back-facing camera with lot more MP and a lot better 3840x2160 video quality. Galaxy M21 features more storage capacity to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy M21 also has a SD memory slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
Samsung Galaxy M21 has a very superior battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a 6000mAh battery size.
