Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 8 is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, getting an 83.3 score against 75.8. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but Xiaomi Mi 8 has the previous 10 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version. The Xiaomi Mi 8 construction is just a bit thinner and just a bit lighter than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although they were released only a couple of months apart.
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a bit sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have a higher number of pixels per inch of display, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels and a little larger display. Xiaomi Mi 8 features a much greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage.
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a bit more powerful CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. Both have the same RAM amount and 8 CPU cores. Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a much better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have the same resolution back-facing camera, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has a much higher 3840x2160 video resolution and a bigger camera aperture.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro counts with better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has an 18 percent more battery capacity.
