The Huawei Mate 8 is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, having a score of 77.4 against 74.4. Huawei Mate 8's body is a little bit thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, but it is a little heavier and was released many years before. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 features a little sharper screen than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 also has a little higher 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and a just a little more pixels per inch of display.
The Huawei Mate 8 has a superior storage capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have an external memory slot that allows up to 128 GB, the Huawei Mate 8 also has 128 GB internal memory. The Huawei Mate 8 features a bit superior processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. They have the same number of cores and 4 GB of RAM.
Huawei Mate 8 counts with a battery performance that is very similar to Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's battery performance. Huawei Mate 8 takes clearer photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Huawei Mate 8 also has better video frame rates, a back camera with much more MP and a larger aperture to take better low-light photos and video.
