The Huawei nova 3 has a general score of 76.3, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's general score of 74.4. The Huawei nova 3 is a a bit lighter and just a bit thinner cellphone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, even when they were released only a couple of months apart. These phones work with Android OS, but Huawei nova 3 has a newer 8.1 Oreo version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has Android 7.1 Nougat version, so it counts with lots of additional features and increased performance.
