Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy C7 is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, getting a 77.7 score against 74.4. Both phones we compare here use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy C7 has a newer 8.0 Oreo version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has Android 7.1 Nougat. The Samsung Galaxy C7 body is thinner and a little lighter than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, even though it was released about a year before.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 features a bit sharper screen than Galaxy C7, because it has a quite bigger screen, a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and a just a bit greater screen pixel density. Samsung Galaxy C7's memory capacity to store more apps and games is just as good as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 one, both have exactly the same internal memory and an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB.
The Galaxy C7's CPU is very similar to Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's processor, both of them have the same RAM memory amount and 8 cpu cores. The Samsung Galaxy C7 counts with a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy C7 also has a larger aperture to take better low-light images and video and a lot more megapixels back facing camera.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy C7, because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 3300mAh.
