Galaxy S7 Active is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, getting a global score of 75.8 against 74.4. Although Galaxy S7 Active is a better device than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, we must note that it is also older, a bit heavier and somewhat thicker. The Galaxy S7 Active counts with a sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution and a better screen density.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has more storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a slot for SD memory cards that allows 72 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy S7 Active, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 also has more CPU cores (but slower).
The Galaxy S7 Active counts with a battery duration that's just as good as Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's battery life. Galaxy S7 Active captures a little bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have a same resolution back facing camera, the Galaxy S7 Active also has a way bigger camera aperture to capture better photography and videos in low-light environments and a lot better video quality.
