Comparison review
The Galaxy S7 edge has a general score of 78.1, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's general score of 74.4. The Galaxy S7 edge is an older cellphone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, but it is a little thinner and lighter anyway. Both of these devices work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy S7 edge has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has Android 7.1 Nougat, so it gives a couple additional features and enhanced performance.
Galaxy S7 edge features a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560 resolution and a better pixels density. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 features a little faster processing unit than Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM memory, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 also has 4 more cpu cores.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 features just a little better battery lifetime than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3600mAh.
The Galaxy S7 edge has a much better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have a camera with a 12 megapixels resolution, the Galaxy S7 edge also has a lot bigger aperture and a lot better video resolution.
