Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, getting a global score of 80.1 against 74.4. Although Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro is extremely newer than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, it is heavier and noticeably thicker. Both phones we are comparing here use Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro has a newer 8.0 Oreo version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has Android 7.1 Nougat.
Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro features a bit better processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. They have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM memory amount. Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro counts with a more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater screen density and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 takes a little bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro, although it has a way smaller camera aperture which is worse for shooting photos and/or video in low-light situations, they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition, the same video frame rates and a 12 mega-pixels back facing camera.
Galaxy XCover FieldPro features a better memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory, the Galaxy XCover FieldPro also has a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 512 GB. The Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro features a bit superior battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
