Galaxy XCover Pro has a score of 81, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's 74.4 global score. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy XCover Pro has older 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has Android 7.1 Nougat version. The Galaxy XCover Pro is a newer phone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, but it's heavier and somewhat thicker.
The Galaxy XCover Pro has a bit faster processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. Both of them have 4 GB of RAM memory and 8 processing cores. Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro has a slightly better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has a bit higher 1080 x 2340px resolution, a little bit bigger screen and a quite greater display density.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro shoots much better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro also has a back camera with lot more mega-pixels and a way bigger aperture.
