Comparison review
Xperia XZ Premium has an overall score of 79.8, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's 74.4 global score. Even though Xperia XZ Premium and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 were released with only a few months difference, the Xperia XZ Premium construction is just a bit thinner but also a little bit heavier than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.
Sony Xperia XZ Premium counts with a much sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better 2160 x 3840 resolution and a lot higher pixels density. Xperia XZ Premium has a little bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. Both of them have 4 GB of RAM and 8 cpu cores.
Sony Xperia XZ Premium features a much better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has a much better (4K) video quality, a back-facing camera with a lot higher 19 megapixels resolution and a bigger aperture. Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a bit bigger storage for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 256 GB.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ Premium, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
