Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi Max has a score of 77.5, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's 74.4 score. Xiaomi Mi Max's construction is just a little thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, but it is somewhat heavier and was released just 22 months before. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 counts with a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly higher 1080 x 2160 resolution and a just a little higher display density.
The Xiaomi Mi Max has a superior memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has more internal memory and a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 256 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 features a bit faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max. Both of them have the same RAM amount and 8 cpu cores.
The Xiaomi Mi Max counts with a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has a lot better 3840x2160 video definition, a bigger camera aperture to capture better photos and video in low light environments and a back-facing camera with much more megapixels. The Xiaomi Mi Max has longer battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has 4850mAh of battery capacity.
