Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi MIX is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, with a 76.2 score against 74.4. Even though Xiaomi Mi MIX is older and heavier than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, it's body is still a bit thinner. Both of these phones include Android OS, but the Xiaomi Mi MIX has the older 6.0 Marshmallow version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has Android 7.1 Nougat version.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX counts with just a bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1080 x 2040px and a quite lower display pixel density, it also counts with a little bit larger screen. The Xiaomi Mi MIX has just a bit bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 64 GB more internal memory.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Mi MIX, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 also has a greater number of cores (but slower). The Xiaomi Mi MIX features a better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has a back camera with much more MP, a larger aperture to capture better images in low light situations and a lot better (4K) video resolution.
Xiaomi Mi MIX features just a little better battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
