Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, having a 76 score against 74.4. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is an older device than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, but Xiaomi was able to build it a little thinner and a bit lighter anyway. These phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has the previous 6.0 Marshmallow version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has Android 7.1 Nougat.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has a little more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because it has a little larger screen, a little bit higher 1080 x 2160 resolution and a just a bit better pixel density. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a processing unit that's very similar to the processing unit in Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because although the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has less cpu cores , it also counts with a greater amount of RAM.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has just a bit more memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 64 GB more internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 counts with a bit longer battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has a 2% bigger battery size.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 features just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, although it has a way lower 1920x1080 video resolution, a camera in the back with a much worse 12 megapixels resolution and a tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for shooting pictures in low light environments.
