Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has an overall score of 76.6, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's 74.4 global score. Although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is much newer than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, it is just a bit thicker and just a little heavier. These phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has the previous 10 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has Android 7.1 Nougat.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's processing unit is very similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 one, and although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has 1 GB less RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 feature quite similar screens, because although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a just a little inferior quantity of pixels per inch of display, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2340px and a quite larger screen.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a greater camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a bigger diafragm aperture for better captures in low light situations and a back-facing camera with lot more mega pixels.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's storage to install applications and games is very similar to Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's one, they have equal internal storage and a SD card slot that holds up to 128 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has greater battery life than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.
