Comparison review
The Huawei P40 is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, with a general score of 86.4 against 71.1. Although the Huawei P40 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro were only released with a few months difference, the Huawei P40 is somewhat lighter and a little bit thinner. The Huawei P40 works with Android 10 operating system, while Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro works with Android operating system.
The Huawei P40 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro. Both of them have 6 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro has a little bit better looking display than Huawei P40, because although it has a little lower display pixels density, and they both have an equal resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro also counts with a quite larger display.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro features a little bit more storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei P40, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits up to 256 GB. Huawei P40 counts with a much better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, and although they both have a F1.9 aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Huawei P40 also has higher 60 frames per second video frame rate and a much bigger camera sensor capturing much better quality videos and pictures.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro has just a bit longer battery performance than Huawei P40, because it has a 4500mAh battery size instead of 3800mAh.
The Huawei P40 costs a bit more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, but you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
