Comparison review
The Xperia 5 III has a general score of 90.5, which is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T's 75.6 global score. Xperia 5 III is a newer cellphone, and it is also lighter and just a little thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T. Both devices in this comparison review work with Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia 5 III has the older 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T has Android 9.0 Pie.
Sony Xperia 5 III has a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels and a just a little better display pixel density. Sony Xperia 5 III has a much bigger storage for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T, because it has an external memory slot that admits up to 1 TB and 256 GB internal memory.
The Xperia 5 III features a bit better processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 5 III also has 5 GB more RAM memory. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T takes a little bit better videos and photos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not good for taking pictures or videos in poorly lited situations, a tinier sensor and lower video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T also counts with a back camera with a lot higher 48 megapixels resolution.
Sony Xperia 5 III features just a bit longer battery life than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
