Comparison review
Huawei P20 Pro is a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, getting an 81.4 score against 81.1. Both phones we are comparing have the same Android 10 OS (operating system). Despite of the fact that Huawei P20 Pro is incredibly older than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, it's design is somewhat thinner and lighter.
Huawei P20 Pro has just a bit better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2240 pixels, it also counts with a little more pixels per inch in the display. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro counts with more memory for apps and games than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 512 GB.
The Huawei P20 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro have extremely similar CPUs, they have a Octa-Core processor and 6 GB of RAM memory. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro counts with improved battery life than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro features a little bit better camera than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also counts with a lot better resolution camera in the back and a larger sensor shooting higher quality videos and photographs.
Although Huawei P20 Pro is a better device, it is more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Huawei P20 Pro, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, giving up a couple features and specs.
