Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy A40, with an 81.1 score against 79.6. Even though Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro is newer than Samsung Galaxy A40, it is thicker and much heavier. These phones include Android operating system, but Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has an older 10 version and Samsung Galaxy A40 has Android 11 version.
The Galaxy A40 has a bit more vivid screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because although it has a bit smaller display and a bit lower 1080 x 2340 resolution, it also counts with a little more pixels per inch of display. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro and Galaxy A40 feature extremely similar storage to install games and applications, they have the same internal memory and a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 512 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro captures much better photographs and videos than Galaxy A40, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, it also counts with a way bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting lot better quality videos and pictures, a camera in the back with much more megapixels and a much better video resolution.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro features a much longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity instead of 3100mAh.
