Galaxy A42 is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, with a score of 87 against 81.1. Both of these devices have Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy A42 has newer 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has Android 10, giving you a lot of extra features and enhanced performance. The Galaxy A42 is a a bit lighter and a little thinner device than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, even when both were only released 6 months apart.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a bit superior CPU than Galaxy A42, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
