Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy M20, having a score of 81.1 against 78.9. These phones use the same Android 10 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding that. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro's construction has the same thickness than the Samsung Galaxy M20, but it is heavier.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro counts with a little faster processor than Galaxy M20, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM memory. Galaxy M20 counts with a screen that's just as good as the display in Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because although the Galaxy M20 has a bit smaller display and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2340px, it also counts with a little bit better screen pixels density.
The Galaxy M20's storage capacity to store more games and applications is just as good as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro one, both have equal 64 GB internal storage and a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro shoots way better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy M20, and although they both have a same size aperture, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also has a much larger back camera sensor capturing way higher quality pictures and videos, a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels and a lot better video definition.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy M20 feature very similar batteries performance, although the Samsung Galaxy M20 has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
