Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 5 II has an overall score of 87.2, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro's score of 81.1. Although Sony Xperia 5 II and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro were only released 5 months apart, Sony Xperia 5 II is notably lighter and somewhat thinner. Xperia 5 II features a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a bit higher pixel density and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2520px.
The Xperia 5 II features a very superior memory for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because it has more internal storage capacity and a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 1000 GB. The Xperia 5 II has a bit better processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xperia 5 II also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro features longer battery performance than Sony Xperia 5 II, because it has a 26% greater battery size. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro shoots much better videos and photos than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for low light photos and videos and lower 30 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same sensor size, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also counts with a much better 64 megapixels resolution back camera.
Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
