Comparison review
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro is slightly better than the Xiaomi Poco M3, getting a score of 81.1 against 78.2. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro's construction is a little bit heavier but just a little bit thinner than Xiaomi Poco M3, and they were released with only 7 months difference. Both of these devices have the same Android 10 OS.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro counts with just a little better performance than Xiaomi Poco M3, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also has a higher amount of RAM. Xiaomi Poco M3 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro count with incredibly similar screens, because although the Xiaomi Poco M3 has a bit worse 1080 x 2340px resolution and a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better display density.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Xiaomi Poco M3 both feature really similar storage capacity for applications and games, they have a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB and exactly the same internal storage. The Xiaomi Poco M3 features longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because it has a 6000mAh battery size against 5020mAh.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro captures much clearer pictures and videos than Xiaomi Poco M3, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for taking images and videos in poorly lited environments, it also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor, a lot higher 3840x2160 video quality and a back camera with a much higher resolution.
Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Poco M3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Poco M3. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Poco M3, letting go some specs and features.
