Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, getting a general score of 81.1 against 79. Both phones we compare here come with Android OS, but Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has older 10 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has Android 11 version. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has the same weight and thickness than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S have extremely similar screens, they have a same size screen, the same resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a better pixel amount per inch of screen.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S's memory capacity to install applications and games is very similar to Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro's one, both of them have the same internal storage and a SD memory slot that holds up to 512 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for low light photos and video, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also counts with a back facing camera with a much better resolution and a bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a battery performance that is very similar to the battery performance in Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro.
Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro is a better device, it costs more than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, resigning some features and specs.
