Comparison review
Google Pixel 3a XL is a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, having a general score of 78.9 against 76.6. Both of these phones include Android OS (operating system), but the Google Pixel 3a XL has 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10. Although Google Pixel 3a XL is older than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, it's construction is a little thinner and somewhat lighter.
Google Pixel 3a XL features a processing unit that's very similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 one, and although the Google Pixel 3a XL has 1 GB more RAM, they both have the same number of cores. Google Pixel 3a XL has a display that is very similar to Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's display, because although the Google Pixel 3a XL has a bit smaller display and a little worse 1080 x 2160 resolution, it also counts with a just a little greater number of pixels per screen inch.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 shoots better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture, the same (Full HD) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a much more MP back-facing camera and a lot bigger sensor.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features much more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has an external SD slot that supports up to 128 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has superior battery performance than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a 36 percent bigger battery size.
Even being the best phone between the ones we are comparing here, the Google Pixel 3a XL is also by far the cheapest one, making this phone a no doubt choice.
