Comparison review
Huawei Mate 8 has a global score of 77.4, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's 76.6 general score. The Huawei Mate 8 design is just a little lighter and somewhat thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, even though it was released 5 years before. The Huawei Mate 8 has a bit superior processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 8 also has more RAM.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a bit more vivid display than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a bit more pixels per inch of display, a slightly higher 1080 x 2340px resolution and a quite larger display. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 shoots much better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has slower video frame rates, and they both have the same (Full HD) video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture for better low-light photos and video and a camera in the back with a lot higher resolution.
The Huawei Mate 8 features a way bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a SD card slot that admits up to 128 GB, the Huawei Mate 8 also has 128 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features greater battery duration than Huawei Mate 8, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 8, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, resigning some features and specifications.
