Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, with a global score of 78.7 against 76.6. Despite of the fact that Huawei Mate 9 Pro is notably older than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, it's body is somewhat thinner and lighter. These phones use Android OS (operating system), but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the newer 8.0 Oreo version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little more vivid screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a greater pixels amount per screen inch. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a bit superior processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 captures better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a bigger camera aperture to capture better low light images and video, a lot larger back-facing camera sensor providing a lot higher image quality and a camera with lot more MP.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features just a bit more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has greater battery performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
