Huawei nova 5T is a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, getting a general score of 80.8 against 76.6. The Huawei nova 5T construction is somewhat thinner and lighter than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, even when both of them were released with only 8 months difference. Both devices in this review have the same Android 10 operating system, so you shouldn't notice any differences in that aspect.
Huawei nova 5T features just a bit better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, the Huawei nova 5T also counts with a just a little greater number of pixels per screen inch. Huawei nova 5T counts with a little faster CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have 8 cores, the Huawei nova 5T also has more RAM memory.
The Huawei nova 5T shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a F1.8 camera aperture, a same size sensor and a 48 MP resolution camera, the Huawei nova 5T also has a way better 3840x2160 video quality. Huawei nova 5T counts with slightly more storage for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 64 GB more internal memory.
