Comparison review
The Huawei P30 Lite is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, with a 77 score against 76.6. The Huawei P30 Lite body is somewhat thinner and incredibly lighter than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, although it was released about 14 months before. Both phones in this comparison review use Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei P30 Lite has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10.
Huawei P30 Lite counts with a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a little lower 1080 x 2312 resolution and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little higher pixels density. Huawei P30 Lite features a little faster CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei P30 Lite also has more RAM memory.
Huawei P30 Lite counts with a much greater storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 512 GB and 128 GB internal memory. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a superior battery performance than Huawei P30 Lite, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 takes way better pictures and videos than Huawei P30 Lite, and although they both have the same aperture, the same video frame rates, the same (Full HD) video quality and the same camera sensor size, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a lot more megapixels camera in the back.
Although Huawei P30 Lite is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Huawei P30 Lite, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, letting go some specifications.
