Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Duo is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, getting a overall score of 78.8 against 76.6. These phones use the same Android 10 OS (Operating System), so they should offer the same OS features. Although Microsoft Surface Duo and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 were released only a couple of months apart, the Microsoft Surface Duo body is a lot thinner but also noticeably heavier than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9.
The Microsoft Surface Duo features a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Microsoft Surface Duo also has more RAM memory. Microsoft Surface Duo counts with a slightly better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because it has a higher 1800 x 2700px resolution, a bigger display and a little bit better pixels number per inch of screen.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 captures much clearer photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has lower 30 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to take better photos and video in low light environments and a much more megapixels back-facing camera.
The Microsoft Surface Duo features a slightly bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 64 GB more internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a really longer battery life than Microsoft Surface Duo, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity.
Although Microsoft Surface Duo is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
