Comparison review
Motorola edge has a score of 89.6, which is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's 76.6 score. Motorola edge's body is a little bit lighter but a little thicker than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and they were released with only a few months difference. These phones use the same Android 10 operating system, so both of them should give you the same operating system features.
The Motorola edge features a little better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Motorola edge also has more RAM. Motorola edge counts with a screen that is just as good as the display in Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although the Motorola edge has a just a little less pixels per inch of screen, and they both have the same exact 1080 x 2340 resolution, it also counts with a little larger screen.
The Motorola edge features a much greater storage to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1000 GB and 256 GB internal memory. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a bit better battery duration than Motorola edge, because it has a 12% more battery capacity.
Motorola edge takes much clearer photographs and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture, the Motorola edge also has a bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a higher image quality, a way better 3840x2160 video quality and a way better resolution camera in the back.
The Motorola edge costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
