Comparison review
The Motorola Edge 40 has a general score of 77.2, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's score of 76.6. Both devices we are comparing come with Android OS (operating system), but Motorola Edge 40 has 13 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10 version, providing the user a couple nice extra features and increased performance. Motorola Edge 40 is a much newer phone, and it is also somewhat lighter and thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9.
Motorola Edge 40 has a sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a little better pixels density. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a way better hardware performance than Motorola Edge 40, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Motorola Edge 40 takes a little bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because it has a back camera with more megapixels, a lot better 3840x2160 video quality, a lot bigger aperture to take better low-light captures and videos and a much larger back-facing camera sensor capturing lot higher quality videos and photos.
Motorola Edge 40 counts with a little bit more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has just a bit longer battery lifetime than Motorola Edge 40, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity instead of 4400mAh.
