Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a general score of 76.6, which is slightly better than Galaxy A5 (2017)'s 75.8 overall score. Even though the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is newer than the Galaxy A5 (2017), it is thicker and noticeably heavier. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy A5 (2017). They have a Octa-Core processor and 3 GB of RAM memory.
Galaxy A5 (2017) counts with a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a much smaller display, it also counts with a bit greater pixel count per inch in the screen. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 captures much better photographs and videos than Galaxy A5 (2017), and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a camera with lot more mega pixels and a bigger diafragm aperture for better photography and video in poorly lited environments.
