Comparison review
The Galaxy Note8 is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, having a general score of 83 against 76.6. Despite of the fact that Galaxy Note8 is older than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, it's design is a bit thinner and a bit lighter. These phones include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Note8 has 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10.
Galaxy Note8 features a bit better processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Note8 also has more RAM. The Galaxy Note8 has a slightly better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels and a higher pixel density.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 shoots better pictures and videos than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for low light photography and videos, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a way more megapixels camera and a lot larger camera sensor taking much higher quality photos.
The Galaxy Note8 counts with slightly more storage capacity to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Galaxy Note8 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 256 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a way better battery duration than Galaxy Note8, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity against 3300mAh.
The Galaxy Note8 is way more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
