Comparison review
Galaxy S7 edge is a little bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, with a score of 78.1 against 76.6. The Galaxy S7 edge is an extremely older phone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, but Samsung could make it incredibly lighter and somewhat thinner anyway. Both phones in this comparison come with Android operating system, but Galaxy S7 edge has the newer 8.0 Oreo version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10, so it gives you lots of additional features and performance enhancements.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a higher number of cores. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge features just a bit better display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher pixels density and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a quite bigger memory to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 128 GB against 200 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 captures much better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for shooting pictures or videos in low light environments, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor taking higher quality photos and videos and a camera with much more mega-pixels.
Although Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is a better device, it is more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, resigning a couple features and specifications.
