Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, having a overall score of 78.1 against 76.6. Both phones we compare here have Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has newer 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10, offering lots of additional features and better performance. Samsung Galaxy XCover 5's body is newer and somewhat lighter than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's, but it is just a little thicker.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover 5's processor is just as good as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's processor, and although the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has a greater amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a bit sharper display than Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a greater screen pixel density, a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2340px and a larger display.
The Galaxy XCover 5 counts with a lot bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy XCover 5 also has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 1 TB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a very superior battery lifetime than Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a 5020mAh battery size.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 shoots a lot better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video definition, the same camera aperture and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a lot higher resolution camera.
