Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 III has an overall score of 93.3, which is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's global score of 76.6. Both phones in this comparison review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Sony Xperia 1 III has 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10 version, so it provides some extra features and some performance improvements. Sony Xperia 1 III's design is newer, a little bit thinner and a bit lighter than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9.
The Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a same size display, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has much more pixels per screen inch and a lot better resolution of 1644 x 3840. Xperia 1 III has just a little better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia 1 III also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features just a bit better camera than Xperia 1 III, because although it has worse 30 frames per second video frame rates, a tinier aperture which is not nice for low light images and videos and a smaller back camera sensor, and they both have the same video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a back facing camera with a way better 48 mega pixels resolution.
The Sony Xperia 1 III counts with much more memory to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 1 TB and 256 GB internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a bit longer battery performance than Sony Xperia 1 III, because it has a 12 percent greater battery size.
Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Sony Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, letting go a couple specifications.
