Sony Xperia 1 VI is a little bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, having a general score of 83.2 against 76.6. Both of these devices use Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia 1 VI has newer 14 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10, giving you a couple nice extra features and performance improvements. The Xperia 1 VI features a much better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have a 48 MP camera in the back, the Xperia 1 VI also counts with a much bigger sensor providing a much better image quality and a way higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
The Sony Xperia 1 VI features a way bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal memory. Xperia 1 VI's battery performance is just as good as the battery duration in Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, although the Xperia 1 VI has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 5020mAh.
