Comparison review
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, with a 79.8 score against 76.6. Although the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is much older than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, it's construction is thinner and a little lighter. These phones include Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has 5.1 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a little better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have the same number of cores and a 3 GB RAM memory, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has an extra graphics processing unit. Xperia Z5 Premium counts with an incredibly better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way better resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a lot greater display density.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with just a bit better camera than Xperia Z5 Premium, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition, the same diafragm aperture and the same video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a camera in the back with a much better 48 megapixels resolution and a bigger back-facing camera sensor.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a greater storage for apps and games than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB against 200 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a superior battery duration than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xperia Z5 Premium, else you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, giving up a couple features and specifications.
