Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is a bit better than Google Pixel 3a XL, with a 79 score against 78.9. Both phones we are comparing use the same Android 11 OS (Operating System). Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is newer than the Google Pixel 3a XL, it is a little thicker and extremely heavier. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S and the Google Pixel 3a XL count with quite similar displays, because although the Google Pixel 3a XL has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2160px and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch in the screen.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a little faster CPU than Google Pixel 3a XL. They have the same number of cores and 4 GB of RAM memory. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a much greater storage capacity for applications and games than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has improved battery performance than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S takes much clearer pictures and videos than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, a same size diafragm aperture and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a lot more megapixels camera in the back and a way bigger camera sensor providing a way higher image quality.
Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Google Pixel 3a XL, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Pixel 3a XL. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Google Pixel 3a XL, letting go some specifications.
