Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has an overall score of 79, which is just a bit better than HTC One M9's score of 77.7. Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is much heavier than the HTC One M9, it's a little thinner and a lot newer. These phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has 11 version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0, so it gives you a lot of extra features.
HTC One M9 counts with a brighter screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a lot smaller display and a little bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080px, it also counts with a quite better number of pixels per inch of display. The HTC One M9 counts with a little faster processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the HTC One M9 also counts with a graphics co-processor and a 64-bits CPU.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a better camera than HTC One M9, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a camera with a much better 48 megapixels resolution, a bigger camera sensor which offers a higher photo and video quality and a bigger camera aperture to capture better images and videos in low light environments.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a way bigger memory for apps and games than HTC One M9, because it has a SD extension slot that supports up to 512 GB and 64 GB internal storage capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a very superior battery duration than HTC One M9, because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity.
Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is a better device, it is more expensive than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as HTC One M9. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the HTC One M9, letting go some specs and features.
