Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, getting a global score of 79.5 against 79. Both of these phones include Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 20 has 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has Android 11, providing the user some nice extra features and performance optimizations. Huawei Mate 20's design is lighter and just a bit thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, despite of the fact that it was released just a bit further than a year before.
Huawei Mate 20 has a bit superior processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. Both of them have a 4 GB RAM and the same number of cores. The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a bit better display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, although it has a quite smaller screen, a little worse resolution of 1080 x 2244 and a quite worse quantity of pixels per inch of display.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a much better camera than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same video frame rates, the same diafragm aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a back facing camera with a lot better resolution and a larger sensor capturing higher quality videos and photos.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a better storage for apps and games than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with improved battery life than Huawei Mate 20, because it has a 26 percent larger battery size.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
