Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, with a global score of 85.3 against 79. Although the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is much heavier than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, it's extremely thinner and newer. These devices work with the same Android 11 OS (Operating System), so both should provide you the same OS features.
Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has a little better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 also has more RAM memory. The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 counts with just a bit better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because it has a just a little higher pixel density, a higher 1892 x 2688 pixels resolution and a larger display.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a quite bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that supports up to 512 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S shoots better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for shooting photos and/or video in low light situations and lower 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also counts with a back-facing camera with a way higher 48 mega-pixels resolution.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features just a bit better battery duration than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity.
Although Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Duo 2, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, letting go a couple features and specs.
