Comparison review
The Motorola edge is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, getting a score of 89.6 against 79. Even though Motorola edge and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S were released with only a couple months difference, Motorola edge's body is just a little thicker but somewhat lighter than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Motorola edge has older 10 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has Android 11 version.
The Motorola edge has a bit faster CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Motorola edge also has 2 GB more RAM. Motorola edge has a display that is very similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S one, and although the Motorola edge has a little lower resolution of 1080 x 2340 and a just a bit lower pixels density, they both have a same size screen.
Motorola edge counts with a very superior storage for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because it has 192 GB more internal memory capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 1000 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a little longer battery life than Motorola edge, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity.
Motorola edge shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have the same video frame rate, the same (4K) video quality and a same size aperture, the Motorola edge also has a much better resolution camera and a bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Although Motorola edge is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Motorola edge, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, giving up some specifications.
