Comparison review
Xperia 5 II is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, with a score of 87.2 against 79. Even though the Xperia 5 II and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S were only released 6 months apart, the Xperia 5 II is notably lighter and thinner. The Sony Xperia 5 II has a bit superior CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
The Xperia 5 II has a bit better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a little better display density and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with just a bit better camera than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has worse 30 fps video frame rates, a tinier sensor which offers a worse photo and video quality and a smaller camera aperture which is worse for taking pictures or video in low light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also counts with a way more megapixels back facing camera.
The Xperia 5 II has a much greater storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because it has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB and more internal storage. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with longer battery duration than Xperia 5 II, because it has a 5020mAh battery size.
Although Sony Xperia 5 II is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
