Comparison review
Sony Xperia 5 III has a general score of 90.5, which is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S's general score of 79. Both devices in this review have the same Android 11 OS (Operating System), so they should give all the same operating system features. The Sony Xperia 5 III design is newer, somewhat lighter and just a little thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S.
Sony Xperia 5 III features a slightly better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit higher pixels count per display inch and a slightly higher 1080 x 2520 resolution. The Xperia 5 III has just a little better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xperia 5 III also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Sony Xperia 5 III features a much bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because it has 256 GB internal memory capacity and an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 1 TB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for shooting photos or videos in poorly lited environments, slower video frame rates and a smaller back-facing camera sensor taking less light and duller colors, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also counts with a camera with a much better resolution.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with just a bit better battery duration than Xperia 5 III, because it has a 12 percent larger battery size.
