Xperia Z5 Premium has a global score of 79.8, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S's general score of 79. Both of these phones use Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia Z5 Premium has the older 5.1 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has Android 11 version. Xperia Z5 Premium's design is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, although it was released 5 years before.
Xperia Z5 Premium has a much better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a way higher 3840 x 2160px resolution and a lot better display pixel density. The Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a bit superior processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a graphics co-processor.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Xperia Z5 Premium, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates, the same aperture and the same video resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a bigger sensor capturing higher quality photos and videos and a back-facing camera with a much higher resolution.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has an external memory card slot that supports up to 512 GB and 32 GB more internal storage. Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and give up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
